Dr Joel Duray

Dr. Joel was born and raised in East Grand Forks. He graduated with his undergrad at Concordia College Moorhead. He continued his education receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Duray spent 1 year in a general practice residency in the Army. He then continued to serve for 2 years in Germany providing dental care. When not working Dr. Duray enjoys spending time on the water with his wife, and Golfing.

Dr Garrett Kovar

Dr Garret Kovar was born and raised in Grand Forks, ND. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Dakota in 2021, he continued his education and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2025. When not working Dr. Kovar enjoys spending time with his wife Hannah, Daughter Nora. He enjoys reading, exercising and rock climbing.

Abby robertson

Abby is the first face you see when you come to our office. She has been apart of the practice since 2015. When Abby is not at work she is spending time with her husband Joey, and 3 girls. They enjoy going camping, spending time at the lake, and spending time with their families.

Stephanie Blommel

Stephanie graduated from the Dental Assisting program at SCTCC in 2018. She has been working at our practice since 2022, working up front with Abby and also able to help assist in the back. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband Mike and 2 girls. They enjoy spending time on the river in the summer, and watching their 2 girls play hockey in the winter.

Krista Calgaro

Krista graduated from the Dental Assisting program at SCTCC in 2014. She has been working at our practice as Joels right hand since 2020. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband Tyler and their 3 kids. They spend their summers camping and enjoying everything outdoors. If Keith Urban is in town you will find her at the concert!

Stephanie Riess

Stephanie graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Argocy University in 2010. Steph has worked at the practice since 2013. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter! She enjoys baking, and gardening. She is the office pumpkin breeder.

Mackenzie Frederickson

Mackenzie graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Lake Superior College in 2017. Mackenzie has been working at our practice since 2022. When not at work you can find her watching her daughter at dance or at Wapicata Golf Course. She enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family.

Libby Asper

Libby graduated from Dental Hygiene program at SCTCC in 2024. Libby has been working at our practice since 2024. When not at work you can find her spending time with her fiancé Patrick, their dog Dolly, and her nieces. She enjoys hunting, ice fishing and all things outdoors.

Elle Schendzielos

Elle graduated from the Dental Assisting program at SCTCC in 2025. Elle has been working at our practice since 2025. She is Dr Kovar’s right hand. When not at work you can find her working at her dads construction company! She enjoys ice fishing and spending time with family.
